New Koch Media label plans to publish new "Payday 3" and "Painkiller" titles

Koch Media has established its fifth publishing label, following Deep Silver and Milestone. The new label is called Prime Matter and is based in Munich. Koch describes the label as a "premium game label," but of course he does not intend to call it a substandard game label.

The label already has a dozen interesting games: the first of which is "Payday 3," which we already knew Koch would be publishing; according to Koch, this time it takes place in a "Hollywood-like environment" and the art above is from that game.

The most surprising of the 12 games was the new Painkiller game. This first-person shooter series has been on hiatus since 2012, and the first game has the distinction of being a People Can Fly creation from the Outriders studio. Koch, or Prime Matter, has not revealed anything about this game at all, except that it exists.

Since there are so many, here is a list of other Prime Matter games:

Crossfire: Scars Above - a new sci-fi action adventure developed by Serbian studio Mad Head Games; Codename Final Form - A near-future FPS starring a cybernetic Valkyrie developed by Reikon Games.

Gungrave G.O.R.E. - A third-person action shooter starring a "dream villain anti-hero".

Dolmen - An action RPG that actually hit Kickstarter in 2018; it's a mix of Dark Souls and Dead Space.

The Last Oricru - Another third-person action RPG with a "unique middle-aged setting" that somehow also has sci-fi elements.

Echoes of the End - A "story-driven single-player adventure game" set in a fantasy world developed by Icelandic studio Myrkur Games.

The Chant - A third-person psycho-thriller/horror game developed by Canadian studio Brass Token.

Kings Bounty 2 - This will be released on August 24 and will depart from the strategy roots of the first game to become, you guessed it, a third-person RPG.

Encased - This has been talked about for a while now, an RPG inspired by Fallout 2 and set in a society trapped under a mysterious dome. We previewed this in 2019 and it showed promise.

In addition to the above games, the next game from Warhorse, the studio behind Kingdom Come Deliverance, will be released in Prime Matter, and Mount and Blade II: Bannerlords, already available in Early Access The game will be released.
