Say goodbye to Fallout 76's battle royale mode

The latest information about the future of "Fallout 76" will be announced as part of the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase during E3 this weekend, but in a recent blog post, Bethesda has already announced one change coming to the West Virginia wasteland announced.

"When we first introduced Nuclear Winter, we were excited to see so many players from our community, and many new players, dive headfirst into the ruthless last-player showdown battle royale genre. As time went on, however, most players preferred to explore other aspects of the game. It has also become more difficult to set up a complete Nuclear Winter Lobby without sacrificing match wait times."

Bethesda has not completely given up on PvP in Fallout 76, regardless of how indifferent players are to the idea, and is working on a mode that we will hear more about "a little later this year." those who have played Nuclear Winter, even if they have only played one game, will receive something to compensate for their loss.

In conjunction with E3, Fallout 76 is currently free-to-play for a week, giving players a preview of some of the benefits of paying for a premium subscription to Fallout 1st, as well as double XP.
