Finally, "The Witcher" Season 2 Trailer is Here!

Ever since the pandemic delayed production, we've been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the next season of Netflix's "The Witcher" film adaptation. And today, our prayers were finally answered, albeit in the frustrating form of an extremely brief teaser released during Netflix's Geeked Week show.

Yes, that's it.

It was a rapid explosion of images, primarily of Siri, who will be the focus of Season 2. According to showrunner Lauren Hisrich, the show is "in the midst of post-production.

Unfortunately, no release date has been set, and it appears we will have to wait a while now.

But this is something. While it is difficult to glean any solid information from this collection of unrelated images, there are a few details that are of interest. Siri, looking old and confident, can be seen training in swordsmanship.

There are also glimpses of daggers, an ancient-looking cave with snow blowing in through a crack in the wall, a creepy skeleton with red bones, a gloomy sewer, the new and improved Nilfgaard armor, and finally the program logo.

Geralt and Jenefer are gone. That makes sense, since she is at the center of the story after the events of the first season. Still, I would have liked to have seen Henry Cavill wielding a sword. Or the way he relaxes in the bathtub. Even for a moment. Please.

If you want to know more about "The Witcher" Season 2, here's everything we know so far, and let's hope Netflix reveals a release date soon.
