Wholesome Direct at this year's E3 seems to have a common theme: cats and coziness, and Kitten Cup Studio's Pekoe seems to blend the two perfectly, a game about making friends with feline customers while running a small teahouse for cats.

The game features more than 10 different animal friends and seven different teahouses serving fresh brews. Each character has their own likes and dislikes, from the way the tea is made to the cups.

Brewing tea for the different characters builds relationships and brings them closer together, and Pekoe offers a behind-the-scenes look at what a cup of tea means to each animal through rituals, ceremonies, and old-fashioned chats. They can also upgrade their tea rooms and customize them with a variety of decorations.

It's also going to be a pretty in-depth tea-brewing sim, where you'll pick your own tea leaves while learning when, where, and which tea leaves are best to pick for the perfect cup, and then learn how to make various teas while collecting recipes. There's nothing cozier than a hot drink and a furry friend.

Pekoe will be released in 2022 and can be wishlisted on Steam right now.
