Yakuza: Available today on Game Pass

Update: A Microsoft and Bethesda conference confirmed this to be accurate, with a trailer announcing that the "entire mainline of the Yakuza saga" will be available on Game Pass. Yakuza: Like a Dragon is coming to the subscription service today.

Original Story The latest installment in the Yakuza series, and the only one not currently available on Xbox Game Pass, may soon appear on the service. (A bundle of DLC bundled with Yakuza's "Legendary Hero Edition" listed on the Brazilian Microsoft Store: in Portuguese, of course.)

The tag is no longer visible on the store page, but by Twitter user @pedroxbz Screenshots were taken.

While the yakuza games currently available on Game Pass tell the complete story of Kazuma Kiryu, Yakuza, Like a Dragon: Like a Dragon is the first to feature a new main character in the yakuza series, Ichiban Kasuga. It also shifts to JRPG-style turn-based combat, and developer Ryu Ga Gotoku has stated that the action-focused gameplay will be seen primarily in the detective spin-off series, Judgment.

In his review, Andy described the game as "one of the most disparate games in the Yakuza series" and said that while the combat is repetitive, it is "swept up in moments of eccentric charm, likable characters, warmth and absurdity." Despite being a stand-alone story, he recommends Yakuza 0 as a better entry point for newcomers to the series, but if both titles are available on Game Pass, the barrier to entry is much lower to try and see for yourself.

If this leak is accurate, it will be announced at the Xbox and Bethesda conferences tomorrow. Microsoft's big show is tomorrow at 10 a.m. PT/6 p.m. BST; the full E3 2021 schedule is as follows.
