Chivalry 2" is already planning to add more maps for the biggest battles.

Chivalry 2 comes through the gate and engages players across systems in a cross-platform multiplayer clash of 64 screaming, flaming, hacking, and slashing knights.Chivalry 2's battles are bigger than ever The huge team objective map is a must-see for both sides. Huge team objective maps are multi-stage battles that involve both teams in escalating clashes. Each map tells its own story, like a chaotic medieval melee inspired by a blockbuster movie. One map begins with a siege, which evolves into a frantic city looting battle. Others are chaotic night raids that move from burning barricades to storming keepers; Chivalry 2's biggest battles are always thoroughly fought out for the next objective.

The siege of Ludhelm is just one of five huge battles. Spawning after the weeks-long siege of Ludhelm, you will play as either the Knights of Mason, defending their stronghold and its heirs, or the Knights of Agatha, launching the final assault. You can show off your first-person slashing combat skills, as in the Team Deathmatch and Free-for-All maps, but you must also consider the strategic level of the game. Which team wins will depend on their ability to defend their objectives and use the map to their advantage.

As Agatha Knights, you begin by escorting a massive siege tower to the walls of Ludhelm and claw your way to the gates to overwhelm the defenders. A progress bar at the top of the screen indicates your progress, but another indicator of success is the chaos around you; you must keep a sharp eye on the battlefield to see which of your 30+ teammates needs backup with a blade in the back of their Mason scum.

Successfully escorting the siege tower changes the battlefield. Once you break through the gates of the fortress to the inner streets, your priorities change. You will be surrounded in a confined area, with knights setting you on fire and arrows flying from archers camped on the ramparts.

The map is full of surprises even before you break into Ludhelm's last stronghold. Like the other battles, Ludhelm harbors Chivalry 2's ability to mix limb-chopping gravitas with slapstick warfare humor. For example, trap doors placed along the walls can be operated with a lever, leading defenseless combatants (and maybe even your own teammates) to accidental respawns. It's a glorious madness, filled with the clang of swords and the customized battle cries of teammates.

Torn Banner has big plans for Chivalry 2 after its release. The studio hopes to double the size of the game with new maps and new ways to fight. Like the epic and chaotic maps already in place, the newly unveiled sixth team objective map, Galencourt, will offer its own set of objectives. The map begins with Mason players using catapults and siege ramps to lay siege to the grand city's defenses, then storming the perfectly manicured cityscape while aiming for the white cathedral that shines overhead. Amidst the havoc, multi-level combat in the dock district peaks with the blowing up of two moored ships. This huge map will have its own tricks and surprises for both teams to pull off. The beautiful city of Galancourt may look a little less pristine when covered in blood, but that is exactly what makes "Chivalry 2" so appealing.

Torn Banner's announcement about Galencourt and a sneak peak at the roadmap revealed more. Horseback combat will eventually be implemented, and more maps, new weapons, character voices, and armor are on the horizon; Torn Banner also plans to add a competitive game mode, as well as a low-player mode for those who want to fully demonstrate their sword skills in a more compact matchup. The company is working on this. Chivalry 1's Arrow Cam is also back and offers a cinematic presentation.

"Chivalry 2" will continue to grow, but before it does, you'll want to practice your feints and battle cries Chivalry 2 is available via the Epic Games Store on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, all platforms for cross-platform multiplayer.
