When GOG's summer sale started last week, my first thought was, "Where's my free game?" That's what I was thinking. Sure, there are plenty of great deals on sale, but honestly, I have grown up spoiled over the years, and these days I don't get out of bed unless someone waves a free game in my face.

Today, my doubts were answered: the sci-fi soul game "Hellpoint," which takes place on an abandoned space station overrun by interdimensional beings (seriously, the game description says so) whose 3D-printed heroes act as puppets for a malevolent Cosmic God, is now Just go to GOG's home page, scroll down a bit, and click the "Claim Game" button.

By all accounts, Hellpoint is a no-frills, no-brainer kind of game: GOG's total user score is 3.8/5, Steam's user reviews are "mostly favorable," and Metacritic's rating is 64/100. Not bad! It won't win any awards, but it doesn't sound like something you'll regret installing on your PC.

Hellpoint will be on the giveaway table until 6am PT/9am ET/2pm BST on June 16; GOG's summer sale runs through June 28.
