Large Biomutant Patch Doubles Level Cap

A new patch for the anthropomorphic rat-and-cat kung fu brawler Biomutant has been released, updating a wide range of features, most notably doubling the level cap from 50 to 100 For PC players, a new setting has been added to adjust the viewing type to either horizontal or vertical A setting to switch between either horizontal or vertical has also been added, so you can get the correct aspect ratio no matter what weird ultrawide monitor combination you have.

The level cap increase seems to be tailored to those taking on Biomutant in the New Game+, and there are significant changes to loot as well, allowing for more variations of loot rather than repeats. There are also "several new items that have higher stats than lower rarity items." In other words, if you like a low rarity item, chances are you will find a high rarity item as well.

A major update to the Quality of Life allows you to scrap items from the loot screen without having to dive into your inventory. Other issues and quality of life additions, ranging from UI tweaks to melee attack lock-on, are listed in the patch notes.

"Biomutant" was a much anticipated game before it was released this year because of its quirky ideas and cute cats. In our review, we found the game to be quirky and cute, but ultimately boring. This does not mean that the game is bad; it's just that we found it to be a bit of a disappointment.
