Twitch Bans Streamer Who Simulated Ear-Licking ASMR in Yoga Pants

A month ago, Twitch responded to the rising popularity of hot tub streams by creating a new category called "Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches." Since then, another trend has hit Twitch. It's streamers simulating the sound of ear licking with an ASMR microphone while wearing yoga pants. This oddly specific trend went viral on Twitch's ASMR channel, and the two streamers who dominated it, Kaitlyn "Amouranth" Siragusa and Jenelle "Indiefoxx" Dagres, were banned.

Amouranth was at the center of the hot tub streaming controversy when her stream was deemed "advertiser unfriendly" and demotivated by Twitch, even though it was within Twitch's content guidelines. Twitch later backtracked when it launched a channel dedicated to "pools, hot tubs, and beaches," stating that "it is not against our rules to be considered sexy by others and Twitch will not take any enforcement action against women or anyone on our service for being considered attractive by them."

Apparently, the company has not taken any action to enforce its rules.

Apparently, something about the stream where Amouranth and Indiefoxx licked ASMR's microphone while wearing tight leggings was against the rules, and both were banned for an unspecified amount of time. Amouranth said, "Since the ban just an hour or two ago There have been 587 new subscribers on OF," tweeting that the ban was good for her OnlyFans.

Meanwhile, their absence and the influx of streamers now joining the ASMR channel has left pools, hot tubs, and beaches free to be dominated by the otters of the Marine Mammal Rescue channel, currently the most popular live stream in this category.
