Alienware's 34" G-Sync Monitor Slashed to $616 on Prime Day

Update: And no more. Given the hefty discount, it is not shocking that this product sold out so quickly. While not as good a deal as this, it is listed on Dell's website as a Doorbuster price of $799.99, which is below last year's Black Friday price. For more display deals, be sure to check out our summary of Amazon Prime Day monitor sales.

Original Article Bigger monitors typically come with bigger price tags, especially if they come with gaming amenities such as fast response times and variable refresh rate support. Fortunately, sales can help you save some money when purchasing a gorgeous display. The big sale going on right now is Amazon's Prime Day event, as part of which you can purchase the Alienware AW3420DW for $615.99.

This is $384 less than Amazon's list price and much less than Dell's unrealistic MSRP of $1,519.99. In addition, here is the same model that was reduced to $839.99 during last year's Black Friday sale. Today's discount is $224 less than then.

Available here is a 34-inch ultrawide display with a curved IPS panel, 3440x1440 resolution (21:9 aspect ratio), 2 ms response time, 120 Hz refresh rate, and Nvidia G-Sync support to synchronize screen operation with the GeForce graphics card. It is an ultrawide display (virtually eliminates screen tearing).

This is a new version of the AW3418DW, which graced our list of the best curved monitors for gaming; with the AW3420DW, Dell has upgraded the display to an IPS "nano color" screen with reduced response time (2ms vs. 4ms), DCI-P3 color space 98% of the DCI-P3 color space and a wider color gamut of 134.5% of the sRGB color space.

In other words, the AW3420DW offers the same rich feature set, but should produce slightly faster and more accurate colors. With significant discounts, this is an easy recommendation.
