An eerie marriage of Factorio and Don't Starve.

General
An eerie marriage of Factorio and Don't Starve.

In Atrio: The Dark Wild, you are an android living in an abandoned, neon cyber-city. Everything is dark, the city is overrun with vicious and violent cyborg animals, and you need to bring the lights back on. It's an open-world survival crafting game fused with an automation factory construction game. It also features terrifying canine creatures with pusher plates on their heads that will leap out of the darkness and murder you, so you'll be scared at least once.

Your character sets out to explore the city, restore functionality, and find new things as he unravels the mysteries of the story, but also builds a base. These bases are full of conveyor belts, tossers, and pusher plate dogs. And because there's so much to explore, the base's defenses must be automated, adding a fresh twist to this hybrid of genres - sort of a light version of Factorio, but with Don't Starve's dangerous off-base expeditions to deal with.

If you like this kind of game, there's also a great little video by the developer that shows a contest for those who playtested the demo and did a lot of things the developer didn't expect.

Atrio: Atrio: The Dark Wild is on Steam and you can play the demo at least until Steam Next Fest ends tomorrow.
