RTX 30 Series Cards Arrive at Best Buy; Canadian PC Gamers Can't Stop Loving Them
[It's a special day for Canadian PC gamers. Especially if you are a Canadian PC gamer who lives within a stone's throw of one of the 16 cities and towns where Best Buy will begin shipping Nvidia RTX 30 series graphics cards.

There are many reasons to want to live in Canada, and Best Buy has announced yet another one: according to Best Buy's blog (via HardwareCanucks), Best Buy today announced that it is "shipping GeForce RTX series graphics cards to select limited quantities only at Best Buy stores."

At Best Buy stores across Canada, you will have to wait in line before the store opens, apparently defending the need for social distancing, to receive your ticket and purchase your new GPU. One card per person, one card per household, will determine if you can get your shiny new Ampere graphics card before the store opens.

"There will be the same number of tickets as graphics cards available at each store." The post states, "In other words, customers who get tickets will be guaranteed the opportunity to purchase a graphics card in the store after the store opens on the day of the sale."

It is posted as.

Best Buy states that there is no guarantee that the card you want will be available at that store. Popular GPUs are still in limited supply, and selection varies from store to store.

The Best Buy stores listed below are scheduled to drop cards today, so click on the links to check store opening times and see when you need to get in line for cards. It looks like you can get any card you want.

Whatever happens is going to be a scrum, but my advice is that even if you get to Best Buy with a golden ticket in hand, don't buy every possible graphics card you can find. Make sure it's something you actually want, and don't spend thousands of dollars on a GeForce RTX 3090.

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a comparable blog on Best Buy's US site, so there doesn't seem to be a way to find new drops in the US. However, if you live in Canada and missed out on the buy this time around, you'll want to keep an eye on Best Buy's Canadian blog.
