Call of Duty 2021 may have appeared on Battle.net under the name "Slipstream".

It's about time to reveal information about the next Call of Duty, but there is a new leak from the depths of Battle.net that may be announced soon. An encrypted build of what appears to be the next CoD recently appeared on the client with the codename "Slipstream." [This information comes courtesy of Helba, owner and operator of BlizzTrack, an independent site that tracks new assets and builds uploaded to the Battle.net client; Helba wrote on Twitter, "Call of Duty 2021 on Battle.net Duty 2021 assets" along with a Slipstream logo; in a separate tweet, Helba also shared back-end He also shares code.

Slipstream's logo (pictured below) is largely consistent with strong rumors that this year's CoD game will return to World War II; as Charlie Intel points out, Slipstream is referring to the 2008 World War II radio drama of the same name, which was broadcast in 2008. It may also refer to the 2008 World War II radio drama of the same name. Until now, we have referred to the project by its last codename, "Call of Duty: Vanguard," and in May Activision finally confirmed that Sledgehammer is leading the game's development.

It might be best not to read too much into the name Slipstream. Studios often give code names to games whose real names have not been announced or finalized, and they often bear no resemblance to the final title. On the other hand, the logo may have something in common with the final branding of Call of Duty: Vanguard/Slipstream/Fore.

So far, Helba is also the only one who claims to have seen all of this Slipstream business on Battle.net. Activision, I'm a little confused. Isn't it about time for a proper announcement?
