General
The Valheim patch recalibrates the AI of the monsters so that they don't hate your fort any more than you do.

On June 23, a patch was applied to Valheim and adjustments were made to the AI of the monsters." We made the monsters a little more aggressive and made them attack buildings, etc. wrote the developers at Iron Gate Studios.

However, the tweaks went a bit further than expected, as players noticed that the flings, gradwarves, and other enemies were essentially walking right past them and attacking the walls of settlements, rather than targeting the player. This is because the mobs spawn and start pounding the walls and defenses to get inside and kill you. However, with this adjustment, it appears that the monsters are now giving top priority to the settlement walls, even when the player is outside the base and within attack range.

A small patch was released today to readjust the AI and bring a bit more balance to the aggression of the monsters. This patch adds "AI adjustments (monsters should always target creatures (including players) first if there is a clear path to the creature (including players) & monsters should only attack low priority structures (such as walls) when targeting players)"

Application.

Hopefully, after the patch, the monsters will once again lash out not only at your beautiful fort, but at you as well, as long as you are not hiding inside it.
