Latest Windows 11 update focuses on taskbar

The first update for the preview build of Windows 11 has been released, and details of changes, fixes, and bugs to watch out for have been posted on the blog.Existing changes to Windows 11 include a refreshed UI, AutoHDR for gaming, and BSOD changes, but this week's update focuses on the Windows 11 taskbar.

The most important and notable update to Build 22000.65 is the search bar in the Start menu. Other improvements include a snap layout optimized for smaller displays and updated power mode settings.

There still seems to be an ongoing issue with the loss of certain features and apps when upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11, such as Cortana and Internet Explorer.

The blog post mentions that the first Windows 11 Bug Bash is running from now until July 14, where users can report various bugs in the preview build of Windows 11.

Windows 11 is still scheduled to be released in the fall and existing Windows 10 users can upgrade for free; Windows Insiders can check out Windows 11 right now in the Insider Preview build.

We recently learned that after switching to Windows 11, users only have 10 days to roll back to Windows 10 if they wish.
