Esports team CLG sponsors Bud Light and tells players they will be dropped on camera.

Counter-Logic Gaming is an esports organization founded in 2010, initially as a League of Legends team. Over the course of its history, it has become successful enough to branch out into a variety of other games (in 2017 it was acquired by MSG Sports, a major American sports holding company) and now has teams and players in Fortnite, Super Smash Bros, CS:GO, Valorant, and Apex Legends

but also has teams and players in Fortnite, Super Smash Bros.

However, the League of Legends team has been in the news for bad reasons through no fault of their own; following recent results, including a 2-1 loss, CLG posted a video on their official channel showing the team being reprimanded by their coach, Daniel 'Tafo' Lee.

The video has since been removed, but esports maven Jake Lackey (unfortunately for CLG) saved it.

With some oddly melancholy music playing in the background, upon returning from the ad, the coach went even worse, heading into a room of players who clearly wished they hadn't been filmed, "I know you guys worked hard, and I'm sorry you had to go through that, but I'm not going to let you get away with it.

Then it cuts to the Bud Light ad again.

This, not to put too fine a point on it, is humiliating for the players involved, and the video was up for several hours until someone at CLG realized the organization had done something wrong, at which point it was taken down and replaced with this statement.

"Our goal was to share authentic moments with our fans and be as transparent as possible for any changes that might happen this week. We recognize that it sheds a negative light on our players and for that reason we have apologized and removed the video."

Well, it was certainly a genuine moment. No one should take life advice from me, but I offer the following self-evident observations. No one, whether a business owner or an esports star athlete, should hear such news in front of the eyes of the world. It's not sane.

Or as league anchor Fox Drop put it:

The text of CLG's original tweet reads:

"This may be the last time this 5 man roster plays" - @Tafokints

@ BudLightGaming Cooldown to give you a behind the scenes look at a private team meeting #LCS #CLGFIGHTING"

Yes, we should not do this to our players. In particular, do not hashtag the players about their "fight" and especially do not tag Bud Light while switching to commercials. Counter Logic Gaming is the perfect name for this group.
