What the gaming chair lacked: Swarovski crystals.

What the gaming chair lacked: Swarovski crystals.

Gaming chair manufacturers have been making great strides lately, and as if BMW's Concept and Cooler Master's Gaming Egg weren't enough, Vertagear has teamed up with Swarovski to create a gorgeous gaming chair covered in Swarovski crystals.

The crystal finish may not be for everyone, but I was expecting something covered from head to toe in shiny glass. The majority of these chairs are embroidered on the back with crystal where the purple threads intersect, not much different from the regular PL4500 except for the sparkling Vertagear logo.

Based on the small sample size of the office, the chair appears to be moderately eclectic. I wouldn't buy it, but I can see why some people would. Alan Dexter is not convinced at all.

Vertagear PL4500's 2019 review is also mixed. Benjamin Abbott wrote at the time: "The unwavering build quality and excellent back support do not distract from the large price tag and hard seat that becomes uncomfortable over time."

The Swarovski Look costs a bit more than standard. It's a $600 chair, more than $100 more than the regular PL4500. Nevertheless, it also comes with a 10-year warranty and compares favorably with the best gaming chairs.

This is because this gaming chair fits perfectly when placed alongside G.Skill's Trident Z Royal RAM.
