Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War's hidden nuclear weapons scorestreak has been extended to other multiplayer modes as part of today's mid-season update.

Back in Season 3, Treyarch added a secret nuclear explosion score streak to Cold War, a longtime staple in Infinity Ward's "Modern Warfare" series, in which players can hit the nuclear button for 30 kills without dying and everyone in the match The idea is to kill them instantly.

Unlike Modern Warfare, Cold War nukes did not immediately end the round, but only killed everyone alive in the match. Furthermore, when it first appeared, this nuke was only available in the Crank Hardpoint round. However, in Season 4 Reloaded, Treyarch decided to expand the nuke massacre to other multiplayer matches.

"We heard from players who made an extra effort to earn the hidden Nuke Scorestreak in Cranked Hardpoint, so we decided to offer it in other multiplayer as well," Treyarch wrote in an update post. Starting this week, players will be able to call Nuke by getting 30 kills without dying in all modes except League and CDL variants, Multiplayer, Party Games, and Gunfight."

Season 4 Reloaded will also feature an all-new zombie map, as detailed last week, and Warzone will add a new 20v20 "Payload" mode as a mid-season treat. In this mode, one team escorts a convoy of vehicles while the other team sets up roadblocks and defenses in their path.
