The third installment in the Syberia series was released in 2017, but the transition to 3D was not well received thanks to clunky controls and an ugly look. As Fraser wrote in his review, "Gone were the brilliant pre-rendered scenes of the previous installments, and in their place were somber and often truly ugly 3D environments." A fourth film, "Syberia: The World Before" is currently in development.
