Ubisoft delays release of "Rainbow Six Extraction" and "Riders Republic".

The fall 2021 crowds will be a little less crowded after Ubisoft pushed back the release dates of two big games that were about to hit the market: Rainbow Six Siege's co-op zombie spin-off, Rainbow Six Extraction, has been pushed back four months to January 2022, and Rainbow Six Siege's co-op zombie spin-off, Rainbow Six Extraction, has been pushed back four months to January 2022, and Rainbow Six Siege's co-op zombie spin-off, Rainbow Six Extraction, will be pushed back four months to January 2022. It will now be released in January. The postponement of Rider's Republic was less severe, pushed back to October 28 from its original September 2 date.

Ubi explained the two-month delay for Riders Republic as an opportunity to "tweak" the game before release, but Ubi could make more significant changes to Extraction by adding four months of development time.

"The ambition of Rainbow Six Extraction is to deliver an authentic AAA experience that will change the way we play and think about cooperative games," said Ubi. We now have the opportunity to take even more time to realize this vision in January 2022." We are confident that this will make Rainbow Six Extraction the immersive, cooperative, and thrilling experience we set out to create, and one that you are eager to play."

Ubi did not give a reason for the delay, but the push for "Extraction" may have something to do with the recent hands-on with YouTubers and the press, which was met with mixed reviews. I enjoyed "Extraction" for a few hours, but the slow pace of the game lacked the thrill I look for in a co-op zombie shooter.

At this point, I'm much more looking forward to Riders Republic, and while I didn't touch "Steep" (because I'm not that interested in snowboarding), "Riders" has many extreme sports (bikes, snowboarding, skiing, jetpacks, parachutes, wingsuits!) ) under one roof, and I think the concept of a massive multiplayer challenge is incredible. [But "Extraction" joins an ever-growing pile of games that will be released in 2022.
