Red door in "Call of Duty: Warzone" makes players invisible.

General
Red door in "Call of Duty: Warzone" makes players invisible.

A mysterious red door has appeared in Verdansk since the beginning of Call of Duty: Warzone season 4. Going through that door teleports you to a room full of random loot. Since the mid-season patch, it has teleported to a different part of the map, but it was not immediately clear if this was intentional or some kind of bug.

Shortly after this update was implemented, players began to encounter an unintentional but unfortunately very familiar behavior: red doors turning players invisible, a bug familiar to Warzone players.

As can be seen in the video below, the glitch is simple and tricky: pull out a grenade, prime it, jump on a motorcycle (also possible on an ATV according to Kotaku), and go through the door.

The instruction set is not overly complex, but the timing must be precise.

Warzone developer Raven Software has been struggling with transparency issues for months; an attack helicopter was added to the game in the December 2020 season 1 update, allowing players to make themselves invisible; in March 2021, it finally returned. but disappeared again the next day when it was discovered that the problem had not actually been fixed.

Whether this is the same bug with different triggers or an entirely new problem is unclear, but it doesn't matter much: players are being hurt by those who use this exploit and the game is suffering for it. This is from the other side of the coin, and as you can see, it sucks.

We have asked Activision for comment and will update if we hear back.
