A leak from the beta version of Genshin 2.1 reveals the addition of a fishing mechanic to this prominent free-to-play RPG. The leak originated from multiple sources, but centered on the relatively well-regarded Genshin Report, which states that the 2.1 update will include Watari Island, part of the archipelago near the mainland, and possibly Seirai Island as well. As is often the case in Genshin, these new areas are hinted at or mentioned by previous characters, but cannot be visited until the update.

This makes it appear that 2.1 is another huge content patch and continues the absolute firestorm of major updates that "Phantom Impact" received this year.

As with all leaks, this is not confirmed until the developer (in this case miHoYo) confirms it as true with a proper announcement. If this leak proves to be true, take it with a grain of salt and expect things to change during development.

This leak follows yesterday's leak of the characters Baal, Kokomi, and Sara, who may be included in Update 2.1. This leak was also widely publicized by Genshin Report.
