Noblechairs Epic Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Gaming Chair Review

When it comes to themed accessories for gamers, the products tend to land on the flashy side, even at the best of times. However, the Noblechairs Epic Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team 2021 Edition takes the style of the legendary Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team motorsports team and gives it an understated, functional, yet very stylish The result is understated, functional, and extremely stylish.

Ostensibly the same as the rest of the Epic brand of Noble chairs in black, java, white, and a variety of leathers from faux leather to cowhide, the Epic chair currently ranks second on the list of best gaming chairs, just behind Secretlab's stunning Omega. It ranks in second place. Reportedly developed in close collaboration with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One team, it features premium brand touches (including strict vegan-friendly manufacturing). [The basic Epic PU leather chair costs $389.99 (£299.99), while the Mercedes AMF Petronas trim is $519.99 (£399.99). whether it's worth $130 (£100) depends on how much of an F1 fan you are It will depend on how much of an F1 fan you are.

The bolsters are covered in carbon fiber with light sea green stitching that matches the Petronas logo; the material is UV, tear, and hydrolysis resistant and can sit for a long time before needing a pit stop. Sorry.

The chairs are easy to assemble and take about 20 minutes to complete. Carpet protectors are a must due to the weight, but once assembled, the spinning motion is completely silent.

My only complaint is the steel arm that operates the recline, a very unstable mechanism. It is harmless once fitted into the backrest, and there is a warning sticker on it in advance. But for the careless, an emergency is a certainty if this spring-loaded bar is unlocked at the wrong time.

I am quite careless ...... And while I completed this chair unscathed, I wouldn't have minded one or two more warning labels, given its potentially lethal impact. Other than that, I would only be concerned about the extra grease on the armrests.

When you get right down to it, the seating is quite comfortable; in my life before PC Gamer, I worked shifts in a 24-hour active division of a broadcast company. This meant that the chairs provided for me and my colleagues were designed for 24-hour use, and while Noblechairs makes no such claim, they were never as comfortable. I may not be the next Lewis Hamilton, but I will be the most comfortable driver on the virtual track. I'll say it again.

In addition, it comes with a lumbar support cushion with the Mercedes brand logo that tells you exactly how you should sit. I have tried the chair with and without this accessory, and despite my desire to hunch over, once I learned that the correct sitting position can provide comfort and spine protection at the same time, there is no going back. My days of reckless sitting, at least while at my desk, may be over. [But the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team Edition offers just that little bit of extra style that some fans crave.

You already know if it's worth the extra $130 for you, but rest assured, this is a quality collaboration.
