HTC's newest headset, the Vive Cosmos, is on sale for $100 off

HTC's newest virtual reality system only launched a few months ago, but it's already available on sale. One of the only deals on VR hardware this Black Friday, the Cosmos headset is now discounted to $599, a $100 savings off the original price. The upgraded "Elite" package is also available at a $100 discount.

The HTC Vive Cosmos can be connected to an existing gaming PC to play virtual reality games, any title designed for SteamVR - almost any game. The included controller supports 6 degrees of movement for immersive gameplay, and the built-in 2880x1700 90Hz display provides crisp visuals. The headset can also be flipped up for a quick view of your surroundings while wearing it.

The regular Vive Cosmos system costs $599.99 ($100 off MSRP), while the upgraded Elite system is $799 (also $100 off). The main difference is that the Cosmos Elite comes with two tracking towers, making the Elite a better option if you have a dedicated VR room you want to walk around precisely. If you're on the fence, here's our review of the Cosmos Elite.
