GreedFall, which has sold more than 1 million copies, is now available in an expanded version.

In September 2019, developer Spiders and publisher Focus Home released GreedFall, a fantasy RPG inspired by 17th century colonialism. While it didn't set the world on fire, its mix of factional strife, moral choices, and romantic comradeship filled an old bioware hole for many players. As our reviewer Lauren Morton put it, "If Dragon Age is a veteran on sabbatical, GreedFall keeps the office untainted and the seat warm in its absence."

GreedFall has sold over a million copies and a new expansion is on the way. As part of a partnership with publisher Nacon, it will be released simultaneously with new console ports for PS5 and Xbox Series S/X. The announcement does not provide details on what that expanded content will look like, but it does mention that Focus Home Interactive will be responsible for publishing "future additional and expanded content". This "additional content" annotation suggests that GreedFall will also have small DLC and updates.

GreedFall is on sale for $19.99 on both Steam and GOG as part of the Steam Autumn Sale and GOG Black Friday Sale.

Spiders' next game is SteelRising, which asks the question: what if the French Revolution were robots?
