SteelSeries headset with DAC for $176.

General
SteelSeries headset with DAC for $176.

The SteelSeries Arctis Pro doesn't make our list of best headsets (its cousin the Arctis 9 does), but it remains a sleek, top-quality headset, especially when paired with SteelSeries' GameDAC. It remains a sophisticated, top-quality headset, especially when paired with SteelSeries' GameDAC.

Still quite expensive for a headset, the Arctis Pro is very nice. It is obviously a wired headset, but it features an aluminum frame and LED lights surrounding each headset. The left headset has an extendable microphone built in. And of course, the Artic Pro boasts surround sound using DTS Headphone:X 2.0.

But the real star of the show is the GameDAC. This small amplifier and digital audio converter is responsible for taking the burden of sound processing off the computer and making the Arctis Pro sound this good. There are also a number of immediately accessible options for switching surround sound, changing microphone output volume, switching equalizer presets, etc.

The Arctis Pro is a great product, but if you're on a budget, it's just one of the gaming headset deals we saw on Cyber Monday: Cooler Master's MH670 wireless headset is a steal at just $80, and the HyperX Cloud 2 is the same price.
