Here are the best deals on gaming headsets for Cyber Monday

Last Saturday, I wrote that the HyperX Cloud Alphas is, in my opinion, a very reasonably priced headset for what you already get and worth buying even without the discount. Normally $99, it is now even more affordable at $79 (£59) on Amazon.

In fact, I'm using this Cyber Monday to provide the soundtrack to another delicious bargain today, without the annoying sound leak that would disturb my partner working nearby. Yes, we share a home office. Having used them for several years now, I can personally vouch for their comfort, 50mm dual chamber drivers, and removable microphone.

Building on the original idea of the HyperX Cloud headset - to focus on high-quality audio at a great price point - the Cloud Alpha uses smart new drivers that Razer recently copied, and they sound incredible! . And at $79, it's an absolute steal. It is currently second on our list of best gaming headsets, behind the Razer Blackshark V2s. But HyperX has a proven track record of high-quality cans, and the Cloud Alphas is its current pinnacle.

While the microphone is not perfect, we found very little wrong with the HyperX Cloud Alphas. However, I never completely liked the look: the red and black color scheme is a bit gamer-ish for my taste, but for the price, I was willing to take that particular aesthetic bullet.

One of the reasons the original price is so high is that it is wired. If that's the case, check out the best wireless gaming headsets to help you cut the cord. It's also worth looking at the latest Cyber Monday gaming headset deals. Otherwise, here's what we recommend.
