RTX 3070-equipped gaming PCs save $50 on Cyber Monday pricing - delivered December 8

We know that without today's Cyber Monday gaming PC deals, it would be nearly impossible to get your hands on a next-generation graphics card right now. But Newegg has this Nvidia RTX 3070-powered desktop rig for $1,449.99, a savings of $50 off the list price, and you can have this rig on your desktop by December 8. In other words, the Ampere will be available in time for Christmas and will deliver the performance of the RTX 2080 Ti in a full system, for almost the same price as the card alone.

Looking at the rest of the specs, it looks like ABS just stuffed an RTX 3070 card into an old Gladiator system, which is fine. The heart of the system, a 650W PSU, is spec'd to support Nvidia's third tier Ampere GPU, and there is also a 1TB SSD. Given that the rest of the system is looking at a mid-range component list, one would expect it to be a SATA SSD, but it still has a lot of storage space and is much faster than the hard drives found in budget machines.

The previous generation Intel Core i7 9700F, limited to just 8 cores and 8 threads, feels a bit behind the latest Intel and AMD processors, but is still a high-quality gaming CPU. However, games don't mind a lot of threads, and it has the high-end single-core performance that matters most in a gaming rig.

It also has 16 GB of DDR4 memory running at 3,000 MHz and an Intel B365 motherboard. However, this is not a major issue considering that the Core i7 9700F in this PC does not come with an unlocked multiplier for overclocking and is equipped with an air-cooled cooler (the RGB one).

The big problem, however, is clearly the Nvidia RTX 3070 graphics card. This card delivers RTX 2080 Ti level gaming performance in a full gaming PC for about the same price as the top-of-the-line Turing card at launch; Nvidia's GPUs have come so far in just one generation, which is why they are in hot demand now.
