If you like good keyswitches, you'll love these irregular gaming keyboards, and these three keyboards from Drop (formerly Massdrop), CTRL, ALT, and Preonic, offer those looking to step up their keyboard game a whole new level of customization.

We have three flavors to choose from, each tailored to the wants and needs of more up-and-coming keyboard enthusiasts.

First up is CTRL, a board shape familiar to PC gamers, which takes the form of a regular tenkeyless design. This is a space-saving convenience for those with small desks. Each key has RGB lighting, with RGB strips surrounding the entire outer shell and PBT keycaps. In fact, all three of these boards are made of the stiffer PBT plastic, which is favored by keyboard fans for its tough construction.

However, it does give you the advantage of being able to choose the case of your choice from a variety of colors and styles. Frosted acrylic, gunmetal, orange, purple, red, silver, or your choice. You can also order without a case and have a fitted design 3D printed.

The switches and keycaps used with Preonic must be ordered by you. However, that only gives you more freedom to do what you want with the keyswitches; the DIY kit comes with a hot-swappable design PCB that allows you to take out and replace the switches as you like without soldering.
