A Proper Rebellion in "Mount and Blade 2

Everyone knows that the best part of medieval history is when someone gets fed up and stabs a self-serving noble to death. Well, the fantasy dark ages of "Mount & Blade 2: Banner Lord" will add this important and vital feature, which will be implemented soon, according to the latest development update from TaleWorlds.

Other features such as granting and relinquishing territories, notification of settlement events, improved simulation, jailbreak, and keep battles are in "coming soon" development.

Rebellion works like this: settlements with low loyalty or security can rebel against their owners. The lower the loyalty, the more citizens will join the town's militia and take up arms. If they become stronger than the garrison, they will revolt if their loyalty is low enough. Citizens who rebel will take control of settlements and establish new clans, legitimizing their rule over time. If they eventually survive, they can initiate diplomacy with other kingdoms and become part of the game simulation.

Improved simulation would help this: AI characters would marry each other over time, and AI clans would gain many new members. In addition, those clans will have more children, allowing the clans to survive longer. The kingdom itself also gained a mechanism to continue fighting after losing some settlements.
