General
The Logitech G502 Lightspeed is a great wireless mouse.

Logitech's original G502 Proteus Core was released several years ago and has gone through several model changes since then, but remains a popular rodent. This G502 Lightspeed is currently marked down to $99.99 on Amazon.

It has been on sale at this price for several weeks and has not been seen by us until today. This discounted price is $50 less than the MSRP, which is almost equal to the all-time low of $94.99. It is also the lowest price by at least $20.

The G502 Lightspeed features Logitech's latest and greatest 25,000 DPI Hero sensor (an upgrade from the 16,000 DPI sensor in the model we reviewed last year). According to Logitech, this sensor offers 10 times the power efficiency of the previous generation, and in our tests, the mouse charged quickly from nearly empty to 100% in less than 90 minutes. on a single charge, expect up to 60 hours with lighting off, and up to 48 hours with the logo and DPI status LED RGB enabled With lighting off, up to 48 hours of battery life can be expected.

This mouse is another Logitech mouse that offers a choice between a free spin scroll wheel and the more traditional step spin. I own the wired version of this mouse, and in my experience the free spinning is best for web browsing, while the step-spinning mode is better for gaming.

There are a total of 11 programmable buttons. It also boasts an adjustable weight and balance system, with six included weights that can be packed into the undercarriage. All in all, this is a great wireless gaming mouse.
