For those of you who play tabletop RPGs online, here's a nice little tool: Dungeon Scrawl is free mapping software that is very easy to learn and has lots of presets to make your maps look good in a variety of styles. and others, but it is not that difficult to use and produces results far superior to other free software I have come across. The presets produce modern classic dungeon maps with crosshatching on the edges, retro TSR blueprint style, or sci-fi orange and black maps.

I am also a big fan of the various brushes and tools in the program. It's nice to be able to easily copy-paste and paint in a new area... want to paint a 50-foot cave with jagged edges? Easy peasy. You can easily do things that are tedious in other programs, such as rotating a room while keeping the corridors in a straight line. You can also easily import maps from popular random dungeon widgets like Donjon or Random Dungeon Generator. The tool has both standard and isometric editing modes. Isometric maps made easy! Infinity Engine RPG fantasies can be realized!
