Corsair's K95 RGB Platinum keyboard is easy to use and on sale now for $110

It's been a few years since we posted our review of Corsair's K95 RGB Platinum mechanical gaming keyboard, but everything we liked about it then still holds true today. Best Buy has the K95 RGB Platinum reduced from $199.99 to $109.99 (a $90 savings).

I haven't seen prices lower than this, even on Black Friday when it dropped to $129.99 on Amazon. It was a great deal then, and it's an even better deal now. The only caveat is that this discounted price applies to the gunmetal color option (the black variant is $159.99 at Best Buy).

This is an excellent board built around Cherry's MX Speed keyswitch, a linear switch built for fast-paced gaming with 4mm travel and 1.2mm actuation points. These switches are also relatively quiet, especially compared to, say, Cherry MX Blue switches.

Don't be put off by the fact that this is a slightly older model at this time. On the left side, you'll find six textured gaming/macro keys, dedicated media keys (including a volume roller), RGB lighting, 8MB of onboard memory that can store up to three profiles, USB 2.0 pass-through, a removable wrist rest, and other full-featured It remains a gaming keyboard. It also features a lightweight aluminum frame.

Even with this discount, there are cheaper mechanical keyboards. However, the K95 RGB Platinum is one of the better made and more substantial keyboards.
