With the winter game sales in full swing and, in some cases, giveaways running out, it's wise to look around for the best and cheapest. Like, for example, the cheapest under a dollar in the US. That is cheap. So, as I did last year, I made use of the online PC gaming platform's terrible search system to find the best deals.

Are those the newest games? No. Are they literally the cheapest games? Not even. Are they better than all the games you can play for free? Definitely not. But they are pretty good games, and maybe you have tried other games. Maybe you want to try a new game. Maybe a relative gave you a $5 allowance. Here's how you can turn that $5 into five video games.

We're sorry we didn't include at least 25 games, but there weren't that many great games for less this year; we think you can get Deus Ex and its sequel, Deus Ex: Invisible War, for under a dollar, but the interface... It hasn't aged very well.
