Valve has announced the winners of its player-voted 2020 Steam Awards. In most categories, games released on Steam after November are eligible, so the 2020 Game of the Year was Red Dead Redemption 2, which came to Steam in December 2019. Rockstar's Cowboy Em Up won several popular Contender and Detroit, and also won the Outstanding Story-Rich Game award: Become Human also won.

The Labor of Love award also includes past games that have received post-launch support that players consider worthy of celebration. Others are self-explanatory.
