All it takes is an accidental spill on the keyboard, and suddenly drinks are banned from work and playgrounds. Alternatively, another option is to invest in spill-proof boards. This is not an expensive piece of equipment. Incidentally, Razer's Cynosa Chroma keyboard is spill-resistant and is currently available on Amazon for just $35.99.

This is down from the list price of $59.99, which is already somewhat affordable in the gaming keyboard realm. However, this is not a mechanical keyboard, but uses membrane switches. Still, our friends at Tech Radar gave this keyboard a 4/5-star rating, saying it is "a great introduction to gaming keyboards."

Razer touts the Cynosa Chroma as a quiet, cushioned gaming keyboard. This is due in part to its fully programmable, low-profile keys. In addition, Razer's Hypershift feature allows users to program secondary functions and macros to each key.

Since this is a first generation model, there are no dedicated media keys. It does, however, have customizable RGB backlighting, and the keys are individually backlit. Of course, the lighting can be turned off according to preference.

In our opinion, the Razer Cynosa Chroma is the best gaming keyboard for those who prefer membrane switches. Also, at this price, it is one of the less expensive ones on the market.
