According to a now-deleted job posting, Respawn Entertainment is currently working on a new project. The link to the job posting takes you to a blank page with an error message, but the URL confirms that the EA-owned studio was seeking a "generalist software engineer" for its "new IP incubation team. "According to VG24/7, the project is described as " No more is said about it other than a reference to "new practical technologies that will make "eternal adventures" possible.

The new project follows the success of the 2019 Star Wars game Jedi: Fallen Order, which beat EA's initial sales target; Respawn has also had success with Apex Legends, which is currently in its seventh season.

Fans had hoped for a sequel to Respawn's other project, Titanfall. However, in May 2020, the studio stated that it was not currently working on a new game, despite EA's previous comments that a new one was in the works. If the project was in the works, it appears to have been temporarily pushed aside in favor of Apex Legends.

Whether Respawn's new project will be a single player experience or something similar to Apex is yet to be determined. It is possible that more details will be announced by the end of the year at EA Play, which is usually scheduled around June, but only time will tell.
