Adam Goodman, head of the Hungarian production services company MidAtlantic Films, told the Hollywood Reporter that the film "Borderlands" is one of several productions underway in the country. We are making room for the Lionsgate film "Borderlands" (starring Cate Blanchett and Kevin Hart) and we are producing season 3 of "Jack Ryan" for Paramount TV.

Hungary was one of the first countries to introduce COVID-19 protections such as the "bubble" hierarchy separating crews and frequent mandatory testing, which is now used throughout the film and television industry. Films that had already begun shooting in Hungary before the pandemic (such as "Dune") were able to resume shooting, and other films are flocking to Hungary. As in the case of "Borderlands. [Death Wish," "Hostel," and "Cabin Fever," director Eli Roth will helm the film, which will star Cate Blanchett as Lilith, a siren who is one of the playable heroes in the first game. Rumor has it that Kevin Hart will play another soldier, Roland.

If Hungary is to replace Dune's desert planet Arrakis, it will certainly replace Pandora in Borderlands.
