It's that time of year again, and every time CES is held, manufacturers release a slew of new motherboards to support the latest CPUs, and Digital CES 2021 is no different. The latest motherboards are powered by the Intel Z590 chipset and will support the upcoming 11th generation Intel Rocket Lake CPUs. And it looks fancy, too.

After the Gigabyte Z590 AORUS Xtreme quietly showed up the other day, we were expecting a special addition to our motherboard. The latest one to excite us is the Asus ROG Maximus XIII Extreme Glacial. Maybe we just have a weakness for the cyberpunk 2077 look, but isn't it a spectacular design?

Cooled by an impressive EK water block, this flagship 500 series motherboard will feature a PCIe Gen4-capable Rocket lake and perhaps a host of other fancy features hidden beneath the intricate pattern. Frankly, there isn't much information on the spec list at this point, but we can enjoy the glorious Gundam-like design and ridiculous name.

MSI MEG Z590 GODLIKE VRM power phases are expected to be expanded to 20 (18+1+1), up two from the Z490's 18. Besides that, there is not much we can tell you about the AORUS Xtreme's 21+1 phase digital VRM.

More information will be announced this week at CES ahead of the launch of the Intel Rocket Lake CPUs scheduled for March.
