Duncan Jones, director of "Warcraft," wrote the script for the "Full Throttle" film.

When I'm writer's block, I stare hopelessly at the blank page, desperately hoping that something, anything, will come out of it. But not filmmaker Duncan Jones. After a recent creative slump, Duncan Jones, director of "Moon," "Source Code," and the film "Warcraft," has written a screenplay for a film based on Tim Schafer's badass biker adventure game "Full Throttle.

The script can be read here. It is fairly faithful to the game and retains much of Schaeffer's brilliant dialogue. It is also surprisingly faithful to the structure of the game, including Ben's adventures in the seedy town of Melonweed looking for tools, parts, and gasoline to repair Mo's motorcycle.

It's a bit odd that the "collect three items" point-and-click adventure game trope should come in the form of a movie script, but it kind of works. Unfortunately, the script is not being produced; it is merely a fan project for Jones. But the script did get Schaeffer's attention (and approval). He hoped hard that this year would be better than last. But we didn't expect (Jones) to spontaneously write a complete script for a full-throttle movie!" .
