Play "Call of Duty: Cold War" zombie mode for free all week!

Call Of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War will allow players to mow down hordes of undead fascists for free for one week starting this Thursday.

Starting January 14, a standalone version of Cold War's Zombies will be available for download from the Battle.net launcher as part of Zombies Free Access Week. This free trial will allow users to play Cold War's debut zombie map, Die Maschine, in two different modes.

Starting in the same rustic old shack that launched the zombie mode in "World At War," Cold War's first zombie map eventually escapes into an underground nightmare laboratory and briefly travels into the "Dark Ether" dimension of hell. The hell dimension exists in the Call of Duty series, but it is perhaps not the most ridiculous part of the series' ridiculous zombie plot, which also features Jazz Noah's Jeff Goldblum.

Die Maschine can be played in the regular round system or in the new "Cranked" mode added in a mid-season update. The timer ticks down faster the longer the round goes on. PlayStation users can also take advantage of the platform-exclusive Zombie Onslaught mode.

Zombies Free Access will run through January 21 and should only cost 4.75GB to download if you believe in installing the full Zombies game. If you play the full game, all of your progress will be carried over to the main game.
