One of the good things to come out of EA and Disney's decade-long exclusive partnership, Star Wars Battlefront 2, is free for a week this week on the Epic Games Store. The Celebration Edition includes the base game and all customization content released up to the Rise of Skywalker expansion.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 did reasonably well as a multiplayer shooter when it launched in 2017, "disappointing with a boring storyline, crappy progression system, and endless grenade spam, but an epic and occasionally very fun tour of Star Wars battles." It was a good multiplayer shooter. However, EA stuck with the game, which eventually evolved into "the best Star Wars game in years."

Star Wars Battlefront 2: Celebration Edition is available for free on the Epic Store until January 21. The interstellar celebration continues with the excellent sci-fi 4X, Galactic Civilizations 3.
