It's time to say goodbye to CES 2021 and look back at the past year with fresh eyes. The Future Tech Awards 2020 have come to give you that hint of hope you've been looking for by celebrating the brightest and best the tech industry has to offer.

The awards are a chance to spotlight the special people and products that deserve to be honored in a year that will make 2020 less unbearable.

PC Gamer's hardware team has already launched the 2020 Hardware Awards, but apparently the big guys at HQ want to share the pie, too, because Future covers all aspects of technology, and the Future Tech Awards are the companywide for the best people and products of the past 12 months.

Anyway, the voting is on. But first, let's look at the categories:

OK, Future HQ totally imitated us here. This category encompasses the most fascinating technologies, from laptops to smart home devices to TVs like the LG CX OLED to audio equipment like the Sonos One. All are outstanding technological feats, but perhaps none are more closely related to PC gaming.

This award is for technology professionals who have made a difference. They are content creators, executives, young professionals, product managers, and others in the tech industry. They are the ones who design and manage the complexities of brutal and intense enterprises. This year's honorees include those at the top of their companies, those responsible for designing the best products, and even the community managers who keep fans and customers talking.
