Server Crashes After "Star Wars Battlefront 2" Distributed by Epic

"Star Wars Battlefront 2" is currently available for free on the Epic Games Store, but players may experience problems playing the game outside of single-player mode. Players are seeing error codes 623, 918, and 721, all of which indicate the same problem: no connection to EA's servers.

EA is working to resolve this issue, and the EA Help Twitter account explains: "We had an incredible number of players join us during the @EpicGames store's free week, so to welcome you all to Battlefront, we are working on new We are ramping up our servers."

He explains.

A subsequent tweet suggested that the problem had been fixed, "I'm happy to report that the issue that was affecting server capacity on #StarWarsBattlefrontII has been resolved," but players in replies are still seeing the same error. I just tried activating it myself and could not connect.

It probably doesn't help that Battlefront 2 is offering a double XP weekend, attracting new players as well as existing players. Plus, who could resist the chance to blast newbies who are trying to play for the first time?

At least the single player campaign is still playable. Some of the "protect someone until this blue bar is full" objectives drag on a bit, and it's yet another Star Wars game where you're given a lightsaber and told to enjoy killing alien bugs with it, but it's hard to argue with the price.

This weekend we ask our readers, what Star Wars game do you dream of playing?
