Horizon Zero Dawn PC update slows so Guerrilla can focus on the next installment.

Patch 1.10 for "Horizon Zero Dawn" has been released, and developer Guerrilla Games has announced that it will slow down the pace of updates to the PC version of "Horizon Zero Dawn" in order to focus on its next title, "Horizon Forbidden West".

"As our team continues to develop our next game, Horizon Forbidden West, we will be transitioning to a reduced update frequency for the PC version of Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition after this patch. In addition, we will continue to monitor the community space as before." Guerrilla stated.

"We appreciate your crash reports and continued support over the past few months. The information we have received through your reports has been invaluable as we further investigate and fix several nagging issues that were fixed in patch 1.10."

Horizon Zero Dawn was released on PC less than six months ago (and it's done great), but it's been on the PlayStation 4 console for three years, so it's not surprising that Guerrilla would want to focus its efforts on something else. But the PC release also got off to a rough start for some players: for some, including our Senior Hardware Editor Jacob Ridley, it worked perfectly fine, but for others, including our reviewer Dave Makeleham suffered from serious performance and crashing issues; Guerrilla implemented a number of bug fixes in a fairly short period of time with the goal of making the experience smoother, and from the response to this update on Steam, the situation seems to have improved considerably.

Guerrilla's next game, Horizon Forbidden West, was announced for June 2020 and will be released later this year, but a PC version has not yet been confirmed. We have contacted Sony about it and will update if we hear back.

In the meantime, here are the Horizon Zero Dawn 1.10 patch notes:
