Seven years later, Company Of Heroes 2 finally supports 64-bit

Relic's masterful WW2 RTS, Company Of Heroes 2, has finally received 64-bit support more than seven years after its release.

Relic claims that this long overdue update, which arrived earlier this week, should provide greater stability and overall performance for the majority of players. As a nice bonus, the update also allows cross-play between the Steam and Game Pass / Windows Store versions.

The update will be applied automatically when the game is launched. However, if you are one of the few players still fighting on an older machine, Relic is pushing a 32-bit legacy beta that will help you continue the fight. The patch will also be released in conjunction with the community map update, which will add 10 new battlefields created by players, and five more will be remixed in the game's matchmaking pool. [Company of Heroes 2 is nearly a decade old, but it is still great strategy action, and remains one of my favorite representations of World War II in gaming, and in the case of the Ardennes Assault expansion, one of the best RTS campaigns currently underway It is also one of the best. Recently, Relic is developing Age Of Empires 4 for Microsoft, and we have all the information we need about the first AoE game in over 15 years.
