The Terminator and Sarah Connor are coming to Fortnite.

General
The Terminator and Sarah Connor are coming to Fortnite.

Fortnite Season 5 continues with a teasing list of tie-in skins to various Hollywood and gaming worlds. Last time we saw Arnold Schwarzenegger's alien nemesis, the Predator, and now Arnie himself (or at least his exoskeleton) is joining the fray. Yes, you can now buy Terminator skins in the Fortnite item store.

The original T-800 skin has all the iconic features one would expect from an original infiltrator unit: glowing red eyes, a menacing metal skull, and a massive frame made of steel and wire from a blockbuster thriller. Subtle. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a costume that makes the Terminator look like Schwarzenegger himself.

The T-800 has a Sarah Connor skin added to recreate actress Linda Hamilton's bangs and chiseled chin. An alternate costume in a combat vest, sunglasses, and a modest hat is also available.

You can bundle both skins (including all additional cosmetics) for 2,800 V-bucks or get Sarah Connor for 1,800 V-bucks and Terminator for 1,500 V-bucks.

Additional cosmetics are hit or miss. I love the decorations on the back of the T-800's endoskeletal arms. However, the back decoration on the HK Skynet's uplink is not terribly noteworthy. It's just an ugly metal backpack with rockets and glowing lights.

Sarah Connor's combat knife can be used as a harvesting tool, and the Technogrip Axe is likewise a glowing pickaxe with a bit of Terminator flair.

Undoubtedly, the best cosmetic from the whole thing is the Cyberdyne Salute emote. Oh, the references.

I don't know how many Fortnite kids wanted a Terminator skin, but season 5 continues to find new ways to wow me with the iconic hunter types of the movie and game. God only knows what will happen towards the end of this season.
