PSA: "Down on the Street" save-kill bug in Cyberpunk 1.1 patch

The latest patch for Cyberpunk 2077 introduced a bug that may prevent players from progressing through the game. At the end of the "Down in the Street" quest, a character named Goro Takemura calls the player. Previously in 1.1, Takemura sometimes did not make the phone call, causing the game to stop. Now, when Takemura calls the player, he just... He doesn't talk. That's it.

Simply reloading an old save will not solve this problem, as the bug will reoccur. In other words, all saves after the bug occurs are lost in the course of the game. However, for those lucky enough to have the save before the bug occurred, there is a fix.

CD Projekt support has a temporary fix, among other fixes posted on the forums. Here's how: first, load the save before V and Takemura leave Wakako's office; as soon as V finishes the conversation with Takemura outside the office and the quest progress is updated, skip ahead 23 hours. This should cause the call and conversation to occur.

The Cyberpunk 2077 1.1 patch released on Friday consists mostly of bug fixes and optimizations. In particular, an earlier bug regarding the Down in the Street quest has been fixed.
