Fallout: New Vegas' massive mod "The Frontier" taken offline by its creator.

"The Frontier," a mod for Fallout: New Vegas, was released earlier this month after years of work. With a playable area the same size as the base game's Mojave Desert, three faction storylines, and drivable vehicles, the mod has been hotly anticipated and attracted enough visitors to crash the NexusMods website upon release.

However, now you cannot find The Frontier on NexusMods. It has been removed by the mod team and replaced with the following statement:

"In the last few hours, some deeply concerning news has surfaced. We were recently informed that one of our developers, ZuTheSkunk, had posted pedophilic animations on his personal artist account. The content is deeply disturbing to the entire team and we condemn it in the strongest possible terms. We will be in dialogue with members of the development team to hear their thoughts on the current situation and help us be more certain of our decision. We have suspended production and work on the mod in order to properly address this situation. We have taken further action and will post a more detailed response in the near future." [In particular, teenage girls who can be sex slaves for player characters, and reptilian settlements who have sex with humans; while the "Fallout" games have dealt with adult themes and forced players to engage in morally reprehensible behavior, and have not turned a blind eye to slavery in particular, this mod has been critical of its "fetishized characters," even players impressed by the technical achievements of the game.

The Frontier also has a Steam page, but it is not yet available there. If you are looking for an alternative mod, you may want to consider the New Vegas mod.
