Cyberpunk 2077 can be played on a gaming PC mounted on the new Tesla Model S.

The Tesla Model S was just refreshed for 2021, but it wasn't on our article shortlist, per se, until we noticed that it has a built-in gaming PC. Deep within its spacious, swanky white interior, a machine with AMD's Navi 23 GPU may have been revealed for the first time.

The Tesla Model S already has impressive entertainment features, including music and media streaming, a 960-watt UHF sound system, a 22-speaker setup, karaoke capabilities, and an Internet browser, but it also has a PC inside the car games can now be played.

Tesla's website has yet to list any official spec details, other than that it will have "up to 10 teraflops" of processing power. However, according to Patrick Schur, a software engineer and well-known Twitter technology leaker, the machine will use a Navi 23 GPU.

Nothing has been confirmed on Tesla's site, but based on the above specs, it should outperform the Radeon RX 5700 XT by up to 9.75 TFLOPS in raw TFLOPS. This would put it in the same class as the 10.28 TFLOP PS5, which uses a custom 36 CU RDNA 2 GPU running at 2.23 GHz.

Promo materials preview that this machine should be able to handle The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt, which tells us that it is at last generation's performance level. But perhaps more excitingly, Eron has tweeted that it can play Cyberpunk 2077. Whether that is with ray tracing turned on remains to be seen.

The PC can be played from any seat in the car using a wireless controller. At this time, there are no hints as to which controllers are compatible, but all of these PC gaming controllers are likely on the list. Perhaps Tesla will come out with its own brand of controllers.

Tesla has two other controllers in the works: a 17-inch, 2200 x 1300 (possibly touchscreen) display in the center of the dashboard and an 8-inch panel tucked between the two front seats for use by rear-seat passengers.

It's hard to believe that the first time we see the Nav 23 is in the cockpit of a Tesla. Leave the GPU chip for us mere mortals, father mask.
